Active harem versus platonic harem

Isekai Space Merc Harem, episode 1

(this one was about two hours late on Crunchy for some reason)

Flashforward intro with harem and combat, followed by an uninspired OP animation with a terrible song. It does at least show off some of the eye candy we’ll be seeing soon.

First up, Our Beautiful-But-Dangerous Noble Officer Gal. Love the way her uniform is designed to look like she’s wearing a black bra over it.

Second, Snarky Cute DFC Space Elf Gal. Our Hero Hiro likes what he sees, but can’t resist dissing her flat chest.

The episode ends with the introduction of Our Busty Teen Damsel In Distress. We’ll get a better look at her next week. Hopefully a much better look, since she’s First Waifu.

The ED is also uninspired, but at least the song is less annoying.

Verdict: what it says on the tin. As expected.

(pretty much the only recognizable piece of fan-art…)

Isekai Goblin Mayor, episodes 1&2

This one is a bit of an oddity, since it’s canon that goblins fuck like minks and it’s even a plot point that Our Goblinized Hero is too human inside to find cute wee goblin girls sexy, but he never bangs the multispecies haremettes who gather around him. Fortunately, he meets up with A Certain Libidinous Grandpa, who hooks him up with some first-rate human tail in town.

Anyway, in the first episode we get a lot of worldbuilding and the arrival of Hot Human Knight Gal, and in the second we add Legal Loli Demon Gal, who blurts out the secret of just whose power he inherited recently.

Verdict: as with Kinky Porn-Game Harem, they went with a double-episode premiere in order to get through an awful lot of exposition. Hopefully they can just tell the story from now on.

(no fan-art, so here’s a very different sort of harem)

Magical Backsies Revenge Fuck

I was stuck somewhere with my tablet and wifi, and I’d already caught up on the shows I wanted to watch, so I watched the first episode of “Magic Repo Man: Dumped by My Party, I’ll Cash In With a Cute Support Fairy to Become the Strongest!”.

Because the gals in The Jackass Party had huge animated knockers.

Setup was pretty typical, with Our Lending Hero receiving his unique support “gift” at age fifteen in his quiet village, and forming a party with Cute Childhood Friend Mage Gal and Mildly Jealous But Still Friendly Swordsguy. They recruit Friendly Cute Elf Healer Gal and set out for a life of adventure.

The catch is that his magic-lending power only levels up if they return what they borrowed once their mana recovers. Two years later, they’re relying on him in every battle but treating him like shit and refusing to return the loans, and dump him as soon as they find magic bracelets that are roughly equivalent to his power, as they understand it.

But lo! In his despair, he cries out to the heavens, and unlocks even greater storage and lending powers, along with a sinister fairy guide (with the way-too-on-the-nose name “MP”) who offers to help him take back all the mana points they kept, with interest.

Verdict: the thing that killed A-Rank Dungeon Harem for me was that the author just could not let go of The Jackass Party, even beyond death, and every time they showed up, it dragged the show down (except for the redemption of Little Blonde Titty Witch). If they can avoid that trap and introduce some decent eye candy in his new party, it might be amusing fluff. Bonus points if the evil bouncy gals get stripped and humiliated before being quickly written out of the story forever. I fear, however, that the entire premise revolves around tormenting them for repayment for a very long time.

(no fan-art to speak of, and yes, this is another Service Saturday show…)

Warning: the other kicked-out-of-the-party-so-I’m-taking-my-cheats-back show has a trailer full of really obnoxious shouting and “funny” art, so I wouldn’t try it on a bet. WTF, P.A. Works?
