Aria is easy, Tama is hard

(the title can be interpreted multiple ways…)

Isekai Prime, episode 5

Just in case there was any ambiguity about the details of Our Shopping Hero’s dalliance with Our Easy Landlady, having her wriggle under the covers, strip, and jump him when he happens to spend a night in her inn again clears it up. Pity she got cockblocked by the loli before we got a buy-the-bluray scene.

As for Our Bouncing Bounty Blonde Waifu, does she realize that she’s just named herself The Town Bike? Or is she a tad distracted by what she finds when she goes to Claim Her Man?

Verdict: I figure the change of scenery will last about two weeks before we get another Blonde-service moment.

($10 says Our Blue Furry-Boobed Cuddly Catgirl tracks him down first)

Unrelated…

It’s a sad commentary on Our Post-COVID World that the grocery near me that was open 24/7 for over forty years now closes earlier than the local Hustler store. Before I left for Silicon Valley in 1993, I could buy anything from steak to vacuum cleaners to ammo at 3 in the morning. Now it’s just convenience-store snacks, or cock rings and lube.

(six months from now, there will be a Sheetz half a mile from my house, but that just adds freshly-prepared sandwiches/snacks to the midnight convenience-store experience)

WSL2 FYI

If you have a directory containing a bunch of files on your Windows drive that have long names full of embedded Unicode characters, attempting to access that directory from WSL as /mnt/c/folder will blow chunks. It stops reading the directory listing as soon as it hits the first long filename, and ignores anything after that point (which makes for a really poor rsync experience).

(sadly, SwarmUI’s downloader turned out to be the culprit, since it saves downloaded models and LoRAs by their insanely long descriptive titles, which make Isekai novels look concise, because they contain isekai titles and their translations)

Aria is easy, Tama is hard

My Volleyblonde Elf Gal was giving off Three Behemoths vibes, except for the thicc-ness, so I tinkered with the physical description, moved her to the streets of a medieval town, put her in kinda-SFW bikini armor, removed the emphasis on the naughty bits, and gave her a cat riding on her shoulder or breasts.

Creating a pseudo-Aria was straightforward, even without a LoRA of the character: platinum-blonde busty elf gals are well-represented in the training data.

Creating an orange tabby kitten with some personality was harder, since most models have fairly generic cat capability, heavily geared towards too-cute. I had to use “cat” instead of “kitten” to tone down the cuteness, and I couldn’t get him to wear a helmet, because the model kept putting it on her head instead.

I did not request catgirls, lolis, or loli catgirls, but I got them anyway.

Even switching models briefly didn’t help with that.

Yet another model…

When I labeled Tama as a “tomcat”, I actually got a preteen elf boy, holding up one of her breasts.

I have no idea what’s going on here…

The Perseus Anime XL Waifu model first produced something really cool-looking that ignored 90% of the prompt, and then it got weird…

It actually makes some nice-looking gals in less-cartoony art styles, but it really doesn’t give a damn what you put in the prompt.

Don’t ask me what DynaVision’s been smoking…

…but CyberRealistic Pony’s got potential

There’s a point of diminishing returns when editing the prompt (which has remained mostly identical up to now). Just once, it spontaneously put a cat-head emerging from her breasts, just like it should, but trying to word things so that happened more reliably backfired, and ended up sticking either her adventuring tag or her dagger in there.

Random text is random. The tag that’s supposed to be hanging around her neck is on the wall, with “teen” engraved on it (which is a word used in the prompt, but in an unrelated context ~40 words earlier than “wearing a gold tag”).

Now, let’s try a LoRA

Just adding this LoRA’s trigger words for the characters (NSFW note: model is illustrated with sample images featuring hardcore sex that denies Our Gal Party’s catsexuality), with no other changes:

Reminder: if you can reproduce a named character in their distinctive costume, it’s because the relevant intellectual property was present in the training data, which clearly meets the legal definition of a “derivative work”. That’s what a LoRA is.

Anyway, there are about a dozen LoRAs trained on images from this series, including Aria’s new armor, and someone’s already done one for the dryad who showed up last week. Several of them include the entire core cast, so it’s possible to reproduce the Stella/Aria titty-fight with Tama in the middle. And also to make better pics of Our Catgirl Blacksmith than the non-AI one I was able to find last week.

But adding a LoRA doesn’t eliminate the WTF:

This one took me a while to figure out: it’s the “remote” problem again. At the end of the prompt, where I added Tama to the scene, I used the phrase “tiny cat whose head sticks up from between her breasts”. So we’ve got sticks, sticking up. Sigh. I also started seeing an increase in saturation, which is likely being magnified by the images used to train the LoRA, so I knocked down the CFG setting in both the base parameters and the refining.

Okay, now we’re getting somewhere. Perhaps next I’ll work on some other gals who’ve been LoRA-tized recently… 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7.
