iTMS takes me back

Okay, my iTunes Music Store purchases are getting a bit silly now:

Complete albums:

  1. Favorite Overtures, Gilbert & Sullivan
  2. Great American Marches II, John Philip Sousa

Individual songs:

  1. Does Your Mother Know, ABBA
  2. Honey, Honey, ABBA
  3. Waterloo (Swedish Version), ABBA
  4. Knowing Me, Knowing You, ABBA
  5. S.O.S., ABBA
  6. Mickey, B*Witched
  7. Crocodile Rock, Elton John
  8. The Bitch Is Back, Elton John
  9. Philadelphia Freedom, Elton John
  10. Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting, Elton John

Elton John?!? Hey, they let him close Harley’s 100th birthday concert, to the intense confusion of the crowd.

As for ABBA, I had mostly managed to resist the urge to revisit that portion of my youth, but while browsing in iTMS, I was struck with the realization that they’re the patron saints of Jpop. I have become curiously addicted to the Swedish version of Waterloo, and have been driving around with a playlist consisting only of that and B*Witched’s utterly shameless cover of Toni Basil’s Mickey.

Don’t stop next to me at a traffic light…
