I just clicked on the new iTunes “Genius Mixes” button for the first time, and this is what came up:

Yes, it does in fact mix John Philip Sousa with Madonna and Shania Twain, to the dismay of all. I rather like the effect of mixing Zappa, the Residents, Blue Man Group, and William Hung, however.

Sadly, there’s no option to show the list of tracks in a “genius mix”. You’re stuck in the cover-grid view, which isn’t even fun if you’re missing cover art for a lot of your albums.

“Dear Apple, while it’s nice that you offer to download album art, could you please try to err on the side of correctness? I’d rather have nothing than something that’s not only incorrect but actually offensive.”
